We didn’t set out to start a beverage company, we set out to fix a problem we lived every day. As everyday athletes, we were tired of what was out there. Protein drinks were the worst part of training, thick, chalky, and heavy, with the same tired flavors of chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry. They were something you forced down, not something you enjoyed. On top of that, we were juggling multiple bottles just to get through a workout, an energy drink for a boost, a hydration mix for electrolytes, and a protein shake for recovery. It didn’t make sense that performance had to come in pieces. So we built SPYRE.

Two engineers and everyday athletes who wanted something better.
With more than 15 years of combined experience in consumer goods, supply chain, and manufacturing, Syed and Tareq spent their careers inside the world’s biggest brands including Ben & Jerry’s, Hellmann’s, Coca-Cola, Method, and Knorr, learning how products are built, scaled, and refined. Outside of work, they were athletes first, lifting, running, swimming, and climbing, always looking for ways to push further. What they found in the performance drink world did not match that pursuit. Protein drinks were heavy and chalky. Energy drinks were artificial. Hydration mixes felt incomplete. Nothing felt clean, cohesive, or made for real athletes.
Both engineers at heart and creators by nature, they combined their backgrounds in science, fitness, and design to build SPYRE. Together, they created a performance drink that merges science and style, something as intentional as it is beautiful. Every decision, from the protein source to the bottle itself, was made with purpose. No fillers. No noise. Just clarity, function, and design built for those who demand more from what they drink and how they live.
